Parenting and The Importance of Embracing Your Situation For What It Is
We had a client in at the Centre For Life Management who was having major health issues because she was in a continual state of resentment and anger because of her four children, her husband and family services.
The client's children were extremely aggressive and violent with each other, her husband had a bad temper and the client was continuously fighting with the guardian who was taking care of her eldest daughter who had special needs.
Our client was introduced to the Better Parents, Better Kids Parenting System and E-book http://www.betterparentsbetterkids.com/info and the 1st step to employing the system once she understands and learns all the principles, concepts and teachings is to get her to comprehend that she would have to stop resisting her reality and rather embrace her situation for what it is which she is that she is mother of four children, two with special needs and that in order to be able to have a healthy, functional life and to be a role model for her children she was going to have to make a decision to be up for the game she created and take responsibility for her life and situation.
Then and only then would she be able to have the health, energy and peace of mind to get through the day and be able to start focusing on creating the life and family of her dreams while working with the realities that she has been dealt with and that she has already created.
Our client was able to comprehend this and she was able to release the resentment, take responsibility for herself and make a decision to be up for the Game and her reality.
Releasing the large portion of the resentment and being much more set to deal with her reality her children turned down their rebelling, acting out and aggressiveness a few degrees and our client's health and mind improved to point where she could function normally and get through the day with some energy to spare.
From here, she now able to continue with her Better Parents, Better Kids Parenting Program http://www.betterparentsbetterkids.com/info and is learning about how to employ the rest of the Better Parents, Better Kids Principles including
1) That our children's greatest and most influential role model in their life is us, their parents. So if we bring out the best in ourselves as a parents, then we in turn can bring the best out in our children.
2) We are all unique, including our children, so we need to teach our children about following what is highest and best for them as well as we, as parents need to understand and support their uniqueness.
